Wax Heater Pot
Can someone help me please with knowelge to waxing and paraffin wax?
ok i know paraffin wax is used for hands and feet. can someone look on littewoods site at the rio paraffin wax heater. what i want to know is can i also buy waxing wax and heat it in this wax heater....as in the waxs are bought in those plastic tubs and heated in machine, can i buy a wax pot for waxing my legs and heat it in this machine. also last question the metal container that you heat the wax in do i have to use a different one or can i heat it in that as long as its cleaned clearly can someone advise please as i ordered it already and am unsure what to do really
i am a beauty therapist. im studing at college. i have purchased the paraffin heater and want to know can i also heat other waxs like for legs in the same heater is what i am asking
It depends on the type of heater you have. I'm not sure from reading your question exactly what size it is, but most professional waxes come in 400 gram tins (14 ounces). They are also available in 800 gram tins. Similar sized bags of wax beads are also available. With the beads, you simply fill an empty tin with these beads, and warm it using the heater.
I have found that one of the very best waxes available is a brand called Cirepil. They make a very good assortment of waxes. Many professional esthesticians use this brand. Cirepil is a bit pricy compared to Gigi, and other waxes, but I feel that its worth it.
One important thing to keep in mind though, is that a heater made for use with paraffin may not, or may not, use the same temperature as a heater made for body wax. This is very important. A heater made especially for body waxes will keep the wax at a controlled temperature which is appropriate for use with body waxes. The heat setting is normally adjustable on most heaters. Too cool, and the wax will not work very well - or not work at all, and wax that is too hot may burn your skin. It is important to use a heater which provides the correct temperature for body waxes. The ideal temperature varies slightly among the different brands of wax, and its just a matter of using the correct temerature for a particular brand of wax.

There are other, less expensive heaters out there which do the job just as well. Gigi makes a few different ones for a decent price, and they make good, inexpensive waxes also.
