For a Plasma or LCD TV wall mount, does it attach to the studs?
I plan on buying a 50-60" TV and want to wall mount it once my basement is remodeled. Do I need to add anything extra behind the wall or do the mounts attach to any wall studs without a problems?
It should be no problem finding the studs...but IF you Really want to Beef it up, add a 2 x 4 or 2 between the joists that you plan on mounting it to....that gives you the versatility of CENTERING it Within your space !
Can't do that with just the joists...you can try 3/4" plywood too.
