I am having my lower wisdom teeth out on Aug 14th and I have been seen by a dental surgeon and everything's in place. My teeth are impacted and the one on the right lower side is sideways - here's my xray: http://misty.ath.cx/xray.jpg ... The lower right got some food stuck under the gum and caused an infection, which I cleared up with antibiotics prescribed by the dentist who referred me to an oral surgeon.

Anyhow I woke up yesterday and the right side of my tongue was sore, it felt like I was gnawing on it all night and I had a sore throat on the left side only. Chewing and swallowing are quite painful now, and I woke up this morning with the same sort of pain. On a scale of 1-10, it's about a 5. Still annoying though. It does not feel like the pain I had with my previous infection at all. Talking is quite painful.

Could this be the wisdom tooth? Should I see the dentist about antibiotics before my surgery?
