im worried about hepatitis?
i know this may sound stupid and over neurotic, but here goes...
i work in a dental surgery as a receptionist and today a patient came in with his mother(who i know has hepatitis,im not sure which type)and used one of our pens, which i touched as well. i washed my hands a few times afterwards and cleaned the pen! however about 5 hours later i cut my mouth while eating and touched the cut with my hand. now im really worried i could have caught hepatitis! is it possible to catch it in this way at all? sorry if this sounds stupid.
Probably wouldn't last that long just on your skin. She can't put hepatitis on the pen just from touching it with her skin, her blood has to get on it. Then iIt has to be in something like a needle or tatoo needle that goes deep into your skin.
