I have a problem with bruxing, how can I solve this?

Ok so when I sit in front of the computer I get hungry but dont eat so I brux. I know its bad and I want to do something about it as I reckon my back teeth are wearing down. Wht are the first steps to take for doing something about it?

I have a mouth guard / gum shield which I bought for wearing at night but I dont have a problem with bruxing at night I have since discovered.

Any adivce is greatly appreciated

Have a chat with your dentist about this one. As you are well aware you are already wearing down your back teeth but the implications for the TMJ joint and other issues are also a risk factor. TMJ has a link to stress as well and bruxing can also link into this one as well.
