question about loupe / lupe for viewing negatives?
i need to get a lupe for viewing negatives. i came across the 'silvestri' one which looks to be reasonably priced and good quality. i was going to go for the 6x one but have seen that the 10x one is only slightly more expensive. is there a disadvantage in buying the 10x one...maybe the optics won't be such good quality or something? thanks.
...i want to view 35mm negatives just to check they are in focus. thanks.
I have an 8x and it works fine. The 10x will have a narrower depth of field, which means that it might be more difficult to get all the parts in focus if the negative has any curvature.
