I'm getting veneers on my teeth but my dentist keeps pushing back my last appointment. Should I be concerned?
I'm getting porcelain veneers on 9 of my upper teeth. I got my temps over a month ago and have been waiting anxiously for my appointment to get the final, permanent ones (my temps keep breaking!) My appointment has been pushed back twice and it'll be almost 2 more weeks now before I have the final ones. I know it's important for everything to be correct because it's permanent, and my dentist say's it's the lab, but should I be concerned? Has anyone else had an experience like this? I don't know if I can last another two weeks on soft/mushy foods!
I should add too that I had a slight underbite which (somehow!) the temporary veneers seemed to fix. Because of this I had a few dentists tell me that veneers weren't an option. I guess I'm just nervous that this guy is winging it!
i work in the dental field and have for over 13 years. when you are doing a large area like that everything has to be perfect, or the occlusion(the way you bite) can be thrown off and cause jaw problems in future., the color might not be right, the shape, length,size. it takes time, but be patient i am sure the doctor is a good one if he is being this picky.
