Braces Impression for small mouth?
Hi,
I might be getting braces soon and I've been watching youtube clips of getting an impression. I've noticed that the trays seem to be really big and I am an owner of a very small mouth. Will that make me gag or barf? How far does it go? Will they use the plastic ones or the big metal ones. If this makes a difference, I'm 14. Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated! Thx
Well I'm getting braces in january, and i just went through the whole process with the impressions. They used the metal ones on me and i'm sure the dentist will get a tray to fit the size of your mouth. I will warn you though, they will make you gag, i nearly threw up on the lady when i had mine. But just breathe through your nose and try not to think about it...that's what i did. It doesn't go far, they just kind of put it to fit your teeth, almost like wearing a mouth guard for sports. But just breathe through your nose and try not to taste the stuff..its kinda nasty
