Grinding mouth Guard?
Im a teeth grinder when im asleep, i recently brought a $300
Why does it cost so much? its simply just a plastic guard with a mould for my teeth,
kind of like the guard you get after braces but thicker.
why is it so expensive & whats it made out of?
It shouldnt have been that expensive... there are cheaper ones that are actually molded to your specific mouth and teetH!
There are just companies out there that like to take advantage of people. They know that if someone is looking for a mouth guard that they obviously need it, and they know that the person is going to be thinking about how important it is and thinking about how much it's going to cost if they DONT get a good one (dentist bills, pain..etc), so they charge a lot knowing that the person buying it will see the price and think that it must be the best one out there since it costs more than the others... So the poor person gets a piece of crap worth 2 dollars thinking that they are getting some top of the line piece of equipment. It's just typical commercialization games.
If you can take/send it back, I personally would. There are websites out there with user ratings and you will see that expensive doesnt always mean good. My mother has been through over 50 brands over the past 15 years and finally found one that she's CRAZY about that was a nice price so if you get desperate and want a recommendation let me know and I will ask her the brand.
