How much sodium fluoride should an effective anticavity toothpaste have?
The current toothpaste I am using has 0.24% sodium fluoride in it. I didn't have many cavities growing up. I recently discovered I now have a couple new cavities.
The current toothpaste I am using has 0.24% sodium fluoride in it. I didn't have many cavities growing up, I recently discovered I now have a couple new cavities. I'm wondering if the toothpaste I'm using doesn't have enough sodium fluoride in it?
o.24 % NaFl is ideal but the problem might not be consering what type of tooth paste you use , because there are many other things that cause cavities even if you use the right type of tooth paste .
for example .....
1. you must brush your teeth after every meal , when you wake up and before you go to bad .
2. are your teeth well arranged . because food can be impacted in areas where a brush cant reach if your teeth are croweded .
3. do you drink gasy drinks like cola , and do you eat citric frutis , do you eat spicy food , cause all these things give an acidic media for the bacteria to live in .
4.do you induce vomiting ( put you finger in your mouth to vomit ) many poeple do that after eating to lose weight but this leads to melting of the teeth .
5.Do you drink hot and cold drinks at the same time cause that will lead to cracking of your teeth .
((what am trying to tell you is that these cavties dont have to be caused by using a wrong concentration of flouride in your tooth paste but you should consider other activites that may effect your teeth .
for the meen time you should visit your dentist to repair these cavites and after that take instructions from hi, to protect your teeth in the future )) .
