If I leave my conditioner in for 20 minutes, will my hair be extra soft?
My friend said that she left her conditioner in for a half hour and her hair was really soft.
My conditioner is Herbal Essence Self Target Hydralicious.
Or should I go buy a leave-in conditioner or restorative conditioner?
I'm going to dye my hair and I know that if your hair is soft and healthy, the dye will sink in your hair more easily and won't fade fast so that's why I want to do this.

As long as you use a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair this should help with the aftercare. When you put on your conditioner wrap your hair in a warm towel and leave for ten minutes, this assists the conditioner in penetrating deeper into the hair follicles resulting in giving yourself a deep conditioning treatment. Ten minutes is enough you don't need any longer really unless advised differently by a professional hair stylist. I hope this was of help to you and good luck with your new hair colour.
