Is it normal to insert sponge after molar tooth extraction (Dental Question)?
Hi,
I got my molar tooth (18) extracted, the dentist after extraction inserted a sponge type material in the cavity created by removed tooth. Is this normal procedure after extraction? It seems I have to keep this sponge for ever in the cavity.

Don't worry they (sponges) will eventually dissolve/disappear after sometime.
All you need to do now is to take care of your dental hygiene to prevent any bacterial infection at the area.
Rinse your mouth with listerine solution or any mouth rinser you can found near your place.
