Will dental teeth cleaning help ease the tooth ache?
I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and the tooth is killing me, home remedies try to work but they are temporal and they last for only a few minutes, paracetamol does not seem to help in any way. So since i can not extract it because of pregnancy i am wondering if dental cleaning will make it better for a while atleast? it is very painful! keeps me awake at night and i can no longer go to work because of it. So will teeth cleaning help?
I am willing to do anything that can help me cope until after birth, so other suggestions are welcome
You can have extractions during pregnancy if the problem is serious enough. You need to see your dentist to check the tooth out. She might be able to clean it but this might not make a difference if there's decay or a bad infection.
I know people say x-rays are unsafe during pregnancy, so if she decides an x-ray is needed to determine the damage, one x-ray isn't going to hurt as the radiation levels are so low.
If she thinks the tooth can wait until after baby is born, make sure she does something to give you some relief, stress from the pain is not good for you or the baby.
The only people who can make this decision for you are your dentist and doctor.
