What do you expect from a dental hygienist in half an hour?
That's the standard length of appointment in the UK. Including time for introduction, sterilization of the instruments afterwards, medical notes...
So really, the patient only gets 20-25mins. of treatment.
Would you prefer to leave with only half of your mouth thoroughly cleaned and pay for another appointment (my philosophy) or have a rushed job done and leave with some calculus hidden here and there?
I strongly believe in perfection as far as the patient's welfare goes and would call them back. The system here does not support the way I was trained, tho.
What's the patients' opinion?? I am asking this just to find out how the patients value their money/health. I will still continue calling them back until they are sparkling clean 
To my answer no one: I could not agree more. the problem is - 90% of people do not floss and brush the way they should. And I know it sounds horrible but I was shocked too when I compared my mouth to other people in my age group
If you floss and brush several times a day then 25 min appointment will clean ur teeth. However for most people 30 mins or less is NOT a long enough appointment.
