How to clean out glue stick?
I have several empty glue sticks and I have seen people use the empty tubes as safes. I removed to little plastic bit that the glue is attached to and found there is glue all stuck to the sides and the metal bit. I have tried putting water and soap in the tube and shaking it but most of it is still left in there. Has anyone got any ideas of how I can get the glue off.
After removing any hunks you can, you might be able to warm the glue or the whole container to see if that will soften it (in the sun or even oven on really low or with hair dryer, etc). Soap may help in the warm water or not.
Or you can just soak it for *awhile* (hours) which can also soften stick glues (white glues) but less if they're already hard...maybe enough to loosen though so you can get underneath the bits.
